Breeding Philosophy
We breed dogs with genetics we desire. Testing with NAVHDA(North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) helps us improve our breeding program. We cater to the foot hunter who wants a versatile hunting and family companion.
In order to ensure competence we breed field and hunt tested shorthairs. Besides wild bird hunting and hunt testing our dogs, another way we produce exceptional bird dogs is through targeting recent ancestors that have proven hunting abilities.
Bettering the breed is our #1 goal. To do so, we stick to these standards:
- PennHIP = a radiographic screening technique to evaluate the laxity/looseness in canine hips and determine their risk of developing degenerative joint disease.
- CLEAR of LD, CD, DM, vWD:
- Lupoid Dermatosis = skin lesions, lameness, scaling, reddening of the skin, erosions/ulcers, scarring, disfiguration, decreased quality of life, progresses to joint pain, low sperm count in males which progresses to absence of sperm, irregular heat cycles in females. Dogs with this disease have dramatically shortened life expectancies and are generally humanely euthanized upon diagnosis.
- Cone Degeneration = loss of cone function results in day-blindness and decreased visual acuity.
- Degenerative Myelopathy = an inherited neurologic disorder of dogs characterized by gradual muscle wasting and loss of coordination typically beginning in the hind limbs.
- von Willebrand Disease II = an inherited bleeding disorder resulting from a lack or reduced level of a normal blood clotting protein and is characterized by spontaneous hemorrhaging and prolonged bleeding after physical trauma.
- Normal Bite and Eyes.
- Current Vaccinations.
- Brucellosis Test.
- Prized in NAVHDA Natural Ability and if timing allows Utility Hunt Tests before first breeding.
- Both parents will have at least two hunting seasons under their belts.
Litter Info
Each puppy is $2,500 of which a $500 deposit is required. We take a limited number of deposits on each gender per litter. We give priority to hunting and testing homes, which means first come first serve is not our policy. We want you to be fully satisfied! When you are, we know the puppy is going to a good home.
Before puppies go home around 8 weeks of age they will be introduced to children, adults, dogs, birds, and water.

Ogie
Table Rock Ogilthorpe, UT-1, MH is a freak in the hunting field! He hunts the pacific northwest chasing chukars, huns, and quail as well as waterfowl. He also heads to Montana to chase sharptails. He simply knows how to find birds. He weighs 55 pounds and has a moderate range of 100-300 Yards. Very good natural retrieve. Points with a 10 o’clock tail. He has good desire but wants to hunt for you. Very affectionate, he’s a big love bug and great house dog. This is a repeat Breeding from last year and I can't wait! Pairing him with Splash is gonna be another litter to remember!
Splash
Splash is a very methodical bird dog and finds the most coveys out of all of my dogs, she is the oldest and wisest so that plays a role but she's the only one that has learned to circle running coveys and pin them so I can get my fat butt up the hill. She's a wild bird dog through and through. Splash has the perfect off switch! She ranges from 200-400 yards in the chukar hills and loves to retrieve. She checks-in on her own making sure we're keeping up. She tracks winged birds whether on land or in water. She's pointed hundreds of coveys. She received 93/112 points in her Natural Ability Hunt Test and 169/204 in her Utility Hunt Test. This is Splash's FINAL litter so we'll be keeping a pup :)

Frankie
Frankie is a tracking machine! She has developed a solid point and knows how to close to get to a covey before they take flight. She ranges around 300-400 yards and if you miss a bird she'll bark at the covey flying away! So don't miss! She's great with kids and has an awesome off-switch. She is out of our very own Rain and her sire is FC AFC VC Saddlerock's Paint It Black MHA. She'll be doing her Utility test with NAVHDA in 2025.

VC TKO Hunting Case NA-1, UT-1 is an amazing wild bird dog! He travels to Montana chasing sharpies and huns when not slaying roosters in his home state of Iowa. Can't wait to see what these dogs produce!
Rain
Rain is an absolute sweetheart and as natural as they come! Her wild bird hunting accomplishments speak for themselves. She's out of DC AFC NGSPCA RU VC Friedelsheim's Freight Train Mason MH and VC Sundance Pied Piper. She has one of the best noses I've seen and a never quit attitude. We would have lost who knows how many winged birds that dropped and started to run if it weren't for her ability to track. She comes back to hand with her bird very quickly and always with a wagging tail! She ranges from 150-300 yards in open country. She received 107/112 points in her Natural Ability Hunt Test and 186/204 in her Utility Hunt Test.

VC Prime Time-Garbonita Leon D'Judah NA-1, UT-1 is one heck of s stud! They don't get much better than this! He's 55lbs. and ranges up to 300 yards depending on the situation. He has a great temperament and per his owner loves to work! He has a great temperament, travels the country to hunt wild birds, and is calm in the house making him the perfect package!
Mamba
Mamba knows her job and does it with a happy attitude. She loves to find birds and can't stand it when her number isn't called. She's developed a beautiful retrieve and knows how close to get to a covey before they take flight, which has helped us bag more birds. She's great with our children and obeys really well. Mamba is out of our very own Rain! Her sire is FC AFC VC Saddlerock's Paint It Black MHA. She ranges around 200-400 yards and loves to please which makes hunting and training with her so much fun! She received 92/112 points in her Natural Ability hunt test at 6 months of age.
